Building a Modern Somali Natural Language Processing Corpus for Higher Education

Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools for the Somali language remain limited in academic research. This paper introduces a curated, open-access dataset of over 50,000 academic terms translated and annotated in Somali, providing a baseline for AI-driven machine translation and automated educational summaries across Somali universities.
